Terms & Conditions

Purchase of play scripts from Taste Productions is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. By clicking on the 'Buy this script now!' button, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined on this page.

  2. On purchase of a script you will be required to provide your email address. A copy of the script will be emailed to you in PDF format. This can be opened using Acrobat Reader. If you do not already have Acrobat Reader on your PC, it can be installed free of charge, from here.

  3. When purchasing a script, you also accrue copying rights for the play, within the following guidelines:
    i. You may photocopy the script, in whole or part, to allow each member of your cast, and stage management team to have on copy.
    ii.
    All photocopied scripts should retain the copyright mark, showing the copyright of Valerie Goodwin.
    iii. All photocopied scripts should remain the property of the purchaser or the original script, and should be returned, or destroyed, once the performance is complete.
    iv. Purchasers may keep such copies are as necessary for subsequent performances.
    v. No copies should be provided to other individuals or organisations. They should be referred to the Taste Productions website.
    vi. Neither original, nor copied scripts can be re-sold.

  4. Upon purchasing a script, rights to perform the piece are awarded to the purchaser, within the following guidelines:
    i. All responsibility for licences for premises, music and performance lies with the purchaser. Taste Productions is in no way liable.
    ii. Performance Rights are owned exclusively by the purchaser, and cannot be passed to any other person.
    iii. Performances of the works are restricted to those groups which operate on not-for-profit, or educational grounds.
    iv. Only organisations or groups of which the purchaser is a member may perform the piece. This includes schools where the purchaser is a teacher or other employee of the school. Rights are not extended to other schools in the authority.
    v. Where programmes, or other publicity are produced, these should identify Valerie Goodwin as the playwright (or editor) of the piece as appropriate. Publicity should state "Performed by permission of Taste Productions". Where space allows, please include the website address www.tasteproductions.co.uk
    vi. Performances should reflect the script as sold. Where changes are made which might alter the overall impact of the production (including deletion of scenes), approval should be sought from Taste Productions.

  5. The author, and Taste Productions, have taken every effort to prepare these works for production. However, neither party can accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, or for any damage resulting from the use of the material.
